Saturday Enrichment Institute

The BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Saturday Enrichment Institute is an Out-of-School-Time (OST) program serving dynamic girls in the NY Metropolitan area. Programs take place on Saturdays from 11-6PM. Each year our participants attend over 368 hours of OST instruction in art based enrichment programs, leadership & life skills seminars, technology and entrepreneurship sessions, academic tutoring, cultural & critical literacy workshops, college preparation courses and career development advisories. Eligible applicants are dynamic young women who are enrolled in middle school or high school and who are also between the ages of twelve and seventeen.

I would absolutely recommend BGR Queens camp to a friend. This is because I’ve gained so many sisters from all over the world. I’ve gained self-confidence and empowerment. I’ve learned that its not okay to settle for anything less than you want. I’ve gained all of the things needed to be a success in life and i would want my friend to become a better person and to experience all that I have experienced if no more.

The application deadline for the 2013-2014 academic year has passed. We will post the application back up over the summer for the 2014-2015 academic year.

The 2013 fall session is now closed. Applications for the 2013-2014 academic year will be available in July 2013.
